Hi there! I just wanted to say that I am very impressed with what you have achieved. I personally have not seen the HIV is Still a Big Deal prior to this. But since recently logging back onto manhunt and seeing your link, I was able access and gain more knowledge about the importance of HIV. May the affects keep on!

Dear Manhunt:
I just found this area of your website, and its great, the preventing HIV program, however the reason Im writing is because I live in PANAMA and this website is the major and most used site for gay people hookups, if you read their profiles they don’t care about AIDS or SAFE SEX, they are more interested in sex with no commitment or one night stands, you can read in their profiles and messages how the organize orgies or are willing to. You can see profiles with guys hiv+ with wasting signs in their faces and no hiv status in there profile. Also is being use to advertise scort services. I ve been trying to encourage safe sex when I can but could you guys help a little bit as well, any idea ??
Honestly I can see this is going to be a major issue in the future, this is a place with a lot of no information about AIDS and bareback sex all around the city.

I think you guys have done a great job with this website, and your videos. I’m a nurse, and not long ago I had unsafe sex with a Doctor. If medical professionals can be apathetic and careless about something so simple and important as safe sex, then how much more can those who aren’t as educated about STI’s and HIV. I was stupid once and i’m negative now, but wouldn’t necessarily be if I didn’t know what I know. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for taking a pro-active step. I’ve only recently started dating and hooking-up again after many, many years of simply being afraid and alone. I am astonished by the amount of mis-information men have about HIV.

Wow…what you are doing is great and I am very glad that ManHunt is working with you to reach out and inform many that know and for those that don’t. I am a long term survivor 1998 tested poz and have a difficult time with disclosure still just due to the few negative reactions I have faced but with SF, CA and other places it should be assumed that ALL are HIV Poz and with that notion you can respond or not to a certain type of sex act. What bothers me is when they rush right into sex and then afterwards want to say I have to be careful. Always if it bothers you to talk first, sex second. Keep up the good work.

Dear ManHunt,
I’m a new member for your site i just logged in this month and i found the Health part of your site and i really impressed with your corporation with this program .
I live in Jordan and here the GAY life is all about sex and no one care about the HIV and the safe sex , i think we should pay more attention for this to keep our selves and our community that we live in safe because we owe this for them .

I had a good friend catch HIV/AIDS back in the late 80′s and he was a fitness freak and had a body that nearly all of us wish we had. Even with all the meds that he was able to procure back then he was unable to overcome the disease and passed away in less than a year. To see him go from perfectly healthy to that of skin and bones and looking worse than the starving people over in Ethiopia was gut wrenching for me to see.
I cannot understand the mindset of the young men today in wanting to have unprotected sex and wanting to be “breeded” by multiple ‘bare-back’ partners. Sex can be extremely hot and very sensual and Safe with the use of condoms and some slight variations in sexual techniques and methods.
I want to still be having and enjoying safe sex with multiple partners up in to my 80′s or 90′s if I am fortunate enough to live so long. To have one fun unprotected encounter and then to have to live with a lifetime of taking medications and the costly expense of obtaining them and the health complications they may bring in the future would not be worth it to me. To have a weakened immune system combined with the ever present dangers from the possibility of being exposed to such pandemics as the bird flu or swine flu or hepatitis or food poisoning or the common cold which could quickly overwhelm my resistance to them is not worth that one night of unprotected pleasure.
Do all you younger guys have such a disdain for your life and the life of others that you willingly put your lives in danger just for sexual pleasures?? Do you not understand the consequenses of your behavior?? Would you not expect to derive similar pleasure from playing ‘Russian Roullette’ with partially loaded revolvers aimed at each others heads??
WAKE UP !!! You could have a long and fruitful and enjoyable and sexually active – BUT SAFE – life ahead of you if you only THINK and ACT RESPONSIBLY.
